A few thoughts
Time is the great filter. While the present is doomed to be obsolete, it isn’t yet. The elements of the present that will age most quickly have not been identified. The past has the great advantage of being obsolete already, and those parts of it destined to perish fast have done so.
The surface area of status has grown too wide. Every new social network is a form of ransomware. Pay it time and attention, or die there.
